Leading with German: Greg and Kristen, Project Coordinators at Lufthansa
Ever wonder what it would be like to work for an international company, either here in the States or abroad? Here are two employees who share how they got their positions at the U.S. headquarters of Germany’s largest airline.
Carl “Greg” Ferhmann uses German language skills daily for his job at Lufthansa’s New York City office. He applied to work at the airline during his last semester of studies at New York University. Having taken German language classes since middle school, Greg explains that he is grateful to have dedicated the time to learn the language.
Another Lufthansa employee, Kristen Noel-Schlarb studied abroad in Austria for a semester during college. She says that knowing German has given her opportunities to attend high-level business meetings and to go on business trips to Germany.
